Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: HSLC / AHM passed from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam, or an equivalent examination from a Government-recognised board.
- If no HSLC candidate is available: a Class IX pass candidate may be considered, with the certificate countersigned by the School Inspector.
- Age: 18 to 45 years as on 01-08-2026.
- Residence: permanent resident of the village or area of the Anganwadi Centre applied for, with a certificate from the Gaonburha / Panchayat President.
- Reservation: 3% of posts for persons with disability (Govt. notification SWD.449/2007/29 dated 12-09-2007), supported by a health board certificate.
- Attitude: commitment to mother and child welfare, pre-school education and nutrition services under ICDS.
Who Will Not Be Considered
- Applicants of unsound mind, in poor health, or with a record of criminal or serious offences.
- Regular students of schools or colleges.
- Recently appointed Anganwadi workers or helpers applying from outside their own centre area.
- Applicants from outside the Anganwadi Centre’s jurisdiction.
